As part of our trip to the Netherlands, we spent a day at Keukenhof Gardens. Keukenhof is about 40 km from Amsterdam, and has incredible flower displays throughout its more than 200 hectares of beauty. There are more than seven million bulbs onsite.
Keukenhof is open for about two months each year, from mid-March until mid-May, during the flowering season for tulips. Approximately 1.4 million people visit the gardens during the eight weeks they're open.
To say the Keukenhof Gardens are "beautiful" would be a massive understatement. They just have to be seen to be believed. This gallery shows some photos of Keukenhof on a somewhat large scale. There's another gallery (click here ) that shows individual flowers up close. I'm presenting these photos without commentary - after all, how many times can you say "incredible" or "amazing" on one website?
