Death Valley

We went to Death Valley during spring break one year (mid-March), and were amazed by its beauty.  Cool dunes, great mountain views, outstanding colors in the rocks, lovely hikes, and not too hot that time of year.

I like the shadows of the people walking on the dune.
The person walking shows a nice sense of scale relative to the size of the dune.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this in Death Valley.
