Glacier Bay National Park

We spent a week in southeast Alaska, and loved it. This gallery is from a boat trip we took within Glacier Bay National Park (click here for another gallery, with photos from the rest of this trip). The park is huge and beautiful, with much of it residing in a temperate rain forest.

Leaving no stone unturned, this bear looks for food.
"One of these things is not like the others..."
Looking under rocks for food is a thing for bears.
It rained for much of the time we were in southeast Alaska, which makes sense - it's in a rain forest!
There's a certain beauty in a cloudy day, especially in the mountains.
This is a picture of Margerie Glacier, at the north end of the park, near the border with Canada.

This is a picture of Reid Glacier.
It might not look like it, but there are four sea otters in this photo.
